Arabesque Dance Studio offers classical ballet instruction for students aged four to advanced levels. Children dancing at Arabesque develop a sense of artistic line, musicality, grace and agility, as well as focus and technical strength in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
Students are placed in ballet classes according to age and ability. Class sizes are limited to ensure students receive personal attention.
Students are trained in a ten month program, beginning in September and finishing with a year-end performance in June.
Piano Accompaniment is provided for some of the classes and Exams.
Examinations: Examinations are offered in the Cecchetti classical ballet method and require two or more classes per week, according to the dancer’s level. Students are entered at the teacher’s discretion.
Ballet examinations are recognized by the Ministry of Education and can earn students credits towards graduation.
Pointe Work: Pointe work is offered to students with required strength and alignment in a course that includes at least two other classes per week.
Summer Dance: A short summer dance course is available for students eight and older. Details and dates are announced in the spring and can be found on the “Summer Intensive” page of the website.
